DIY or Call Us?

There is safe owner-checking and there is work that goes wrong fast.

You can verify the basics yourself: confirm your downspouts discharge past the paver edge, check that irrigation heads aren’t spraying directly onto the driveway surface, and photograph any stamped codes on paver edges for identification. These observations save us time and you money.

What we do not recommend: attempting to re-level settled sections by pulling pavers and adding sand from the top. Without removing the failed base layer and recompacting in lifts with a plate compactor, the settlement returns within one rainy season. Worse, Fort Lauderdale’s high water table means excavation can hit saturated soil; working wet base material is how you get a wavy finished surface that voids every warranty. The polymeric sand activation step is also unforgiving: too little water and it doesn’t set, too much and it whitens or washes out.
